Alan Roberts

Director

Alan is a chartered accountant, licensed insolvency practitioner, Member of the Institute of Professional Investigators, and associate of business recovery professionals.

He joined Begbies Traynor in November 2002 and after two years became Group Financial Controller.  In June 2006 he became Director of Insolvency, Forensics and Investigations. Whilst working for the Group Alan has worked on numerous high-profile projects including Carlyle Capital Corporation and The Accident Group, dealing with complex insolvency, forensic and investigatory issues.

He worked for Ernst & Young for 14 years before joining Begbies Traynor. Alan is based in the Group’s Channel Island offices in Guernsey and Jersey.

Alan leads the Begbies Traynor offshore division spanning the Caribbean, European offshore jurisdictions through to the Far East.

Alan has extensive experience of money laundering regulatory matters and until recently was the Money Laundering Reporting Officer for Begbies Traynor Group
