Largs Restaurant Placed in Administration
Popular Largs restaurant Nardini’s at Regattas has been placed into administration at the instigation of owners Ricky and Fiona Nardini in a move aimed at safeguarding the future of the 140-seat marina eaterie and bar.
“We think this is the best way forward in the present economic crisis,” said Mr Nardini who with his wife has been running the restaurant since 1995 and employs a staff of 24. “We are currently running the restaurant and hoping to stay on in some capacity when alternative financial arrangements have been made to safeguard its future.”
Ken Pattullo and Scott McGregor, from the Glasgow office of rescue, recovery and restructuring specialist Begbies Traynor have been appointed joint administrators.
“This is an extremely popular restaurant with a good customer base and we have put in place procedures to allow it to continue trading,” said Mr Pattullo.
He added: “Despite the current economic climate we have already had interest expressed in the business and are extremely hopeful of achieving a quick sale, in order to protect jobs and allow the restaurant to continue trading.
